Chanakya Neeti – Chapter 16

Chanakya Neeti – Chapter 16

The following lines contain the ideas stated in 16th chapter of Chanakya Neeti Sastra. Have a look … (Discretion Advised)
A person who never remembered Almighty lord for getting out of life-death cycle, a man who is deprived from the wealth of religion that can open doors=of-heaven from him, and one who has not even dreamed to enjoy a woman. Such person is a comparable to an axe that destroyed that the forest of his mother’s youth. [A person with such useless life has no explanation for taking birth ... (Discretion Advised)]
It is the characteristic of a whore that she talks with one man, stares at another with a third person in her mind. If is not the mistake of a whore, but is of man who thinks that she will love him.
A foolish man easily falls in love of a whore and then becomes her toy. She will use him, betray him, trick him and finally destroys him.
There is no man on this planet who did not adopted ego after becoming successful and after enjoying a luxurious life. After getting involved in worldly matters no man escaped from troubles. There is not a single man who did not fall for some beautiful woman. Has any beggar even gained respect? Has somebody remained unharmed after dealing with wicked people.
No golden deer took birth nor anyone has seen it. Still, Lord Rama went after it. It appears as wisdom deserts a person on beginning of trouble.
A man might acquire some big position after putting some efforts , but that is not everything. A crop sitting on steeple of place is not honored as in case of an eagle.
A man is respected for his qualities even if he had not enough money. The little moon on second day of antecedence is biven much more importance than a full moon. (Astrological significance)
A man without qualities if praised by others; gains glory. If lord Indra start praising himself then it will not gain to his glory. Praising oneself will not earn you respect.
Like a gem embedded in an ornament of gold appears more elegant. In similar manner a man must enhance his good qualities to add more charm to his physical beauty.
A highly educated person might feel low in lack of a patron. Just like a gem which needs a suitable ornament to find its place.
I am not interested in money earned by; bringing pain to others, anti-religious activities, and begging before enemy.
Money comparable to bride of an orthodox family is not of much use. It must be like a prostitute available to anyone in need. (planned investment is better than saving)
You cannot get satisfies with money you have, women, and tasty food. More you get the desire becomes even more. Hunger and thirst cannot be satisfied.
The blessings earned after donating land, water, clothes, or after performing Yajna are not very significant when compared to blessings obtained after a helping a deserving person in need.
It is better to die than living a life of humiliation. You die once, but humiliation kills you every moment.
One must not act as miser when it comes about speaking politely. A polite talker is appreciated by all and speaking politely costs nothing.
This world is like a tree with two life-giving fruits hanging from it. One is to speak politely and other is to be in company of good people.
Money in hands of somebody else is of no use. Same is the case with person whose knowledge is only confined to books.
